Dr Mikao Usui
The founder of the Usui system of Reiki Healing. Provoked by the burning question " how did Jesus perform the miracle of healing" Usui studied extensively until he found the answer to his question deep with in himself
Dr Chujiro Hayashi
After working closely with Usui he carried the essence and teachings of Reiki on after Usui's death. He practiced from the clinic that he opened in Toyko Japan. Here he kept detailed records and helped create a solid form for the Usui system of reiki Healing.
Mrs Hawayo Takata
Fate led Takata to Hayashi where she found the healing she needed. After total commitment she was accepted to be trained in Reiki. She carried the lineage torch at a crucial time and her endeavours opened Reiki to travel out of Japan giving the rest of the world the opportunity of this gift.
Phyllis Lei Furumoto
Furumoto is the granddaughter of Takata. She grew with Reiki from a young age until she was ready to train with her grandmother. After Takata's death she was recognised as the Lineage bearer and has developed with this great responsibility. Holding the essence and form in a growing global Reiki community.
James French was initiated as a master by Phyllis Furumoto on November the 4th 2004. He traveled to Kauai, Hawaii and was fortunate to have been initiated at the old residence of Hawayo Takata. He is committed to teaching the Usui system of natural healing as taught to him by this direct lineage.
