Carolyn is a dog trainer and behaviourist with over 20 years experience of working with animals. Carolyn is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training and Behaviour, the Society for Companion Animal Studies, and the International Society for Anthrozoology.

Carolyn has been writing prolifically about dogs, dog training, dog behaviour, and dog care and welfare in national magazines and various press for over eight years. Carolyn has been deputy editor and later ‘roving reporter' for 'Dogs Today', and is now a major contributor to 'Your Dog'. She is currently writing her first book on dog training.

Carolyn is also an experienced broadcaster who appears on regular radio programmes as a dog expert – and has also presented and co-presented TV programmes such as What's Up Dog (Carlton TV), Celebrity Dog School (BBC1 for Children in Need) and Barking Babes (Granada) as well as many others. Carolyn has recently finished filming a series of DVDs on dog training which she wrote and presented for exclusive release in Japan .

Carolyn also works as a media trainer and a communication consultant, helping people within the animal world communicate effectively – whether in the media or in their everyday work.

Carolyn is passionate about reward-based dog training and has a deep desire to improve life for as many of the nation's dogs (and owners!) as possible.
